Tyson’s Chamber and its members have taken on Third Thursday’s school backpack initiative through our community engagement committee.
Our local food bank Food for Others is currently doing 3,400 backpacks a weekend for area students, so they will have meals over the weekends when they are not in school. A backpack runs roughly $7.50 each. Our goal is to provide 100 backpacks a month.
How you can help… Join us at Food for Others in Tyson’s at 4 pm on the 3rd Thursday, donate with on the link below, or drop off the items listed below at the chamber’s office. We will also provide your office with a box to donate and schedule a pick-up.
