Join Helping Hearts Through The Arts (HHA) for a delightful showcase of live music and uplifting dance. Featuring innovative and heart-warming choreography performed by the Helping Hearts Dance Company, the entertaining and soulful program will also include musicians from the Beau Soir Ensemble and Paul Carr’s Jazz Academy of Music. This performance will include a dance called the “Shim Sham,” taught by HHA dancers to tap dancers from the Lincolnia Senior Center. This program is funded in part by Arts Fairfax.

Helping Hearts Dance is composed of passionate dancers aged 40-75+, whose mission is to inspire lifelong movement and foster a love of the arts, and demonstrate that high-quality dance performance doesn’t have to end because of age barriers. Founded in 2013 as a non-profit organization, HHA has been involved in over 60 performances at art centers, senior centers, elder-care facilities, and retirement communities in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. HHA desires to continually create ways to give back, to help foster a greater sense of community, and spread goodwill through music and dance, while inspiring others to move, create, and grow.
